Just because I’m at work doesn’t mean I can’t have an easy, healthy, chemical free breakfast to keep me on track with my goals! Raisin Apple oatmeal!
The night before, I put into the container:
Milled flax seed
Then when I’m ready to eat it at work, I microwaved for a minute, added the raisins, and topped with my homemade apple chips (recipe coming soon!!) Benefits of flax seed:
High in omega 3s, anti-inflammatory, helps with fat burning, great for hair and skin health, lowers cholesterol, lowers blood pressure, helps protect against cancer, natural anti-viral and anti-bacterial, plus tons more!
Interesting fact, our body has a harder time processing (digesting) the actual flax seed, so consuming it ground gets you the most out of it!
Benefits of chia seeds:
They are among the most nutritious foods on the planet. Full of fiber, antioxidants, and even protein. Because of how much is packed into them and how beneficial they are to your body performing well, studies show a healthy diet including chia seeds aids in additional weight loss and overall health! They also lower the risk of heart disease and diabetes, and are an excellent source of calcium for great bone health!
Do you eat chia or flax regularly? Why or why not?
