She on the other hand had a plan. She was much more aware . A solution so simple. In good hindi she screamed "why don't you leave the bag?", And then a calculatin began, my bag, or my life, OUR life? She didn't really lose her calmness. She had a solution, she must have been an experienced soul with quick decision making. She was intelligent. I let go of my bag, in the sea of Humanity. I remember the scene in accurate details, seconds were minutes and minutes were longer. I saw her fade away, I remember picking myself up and rushing to the landing. I was panting, I stood there stunned, shocked. Could she pick herself up? Should I go and check? Do I wait for my bag? None was possible as the rush hour had only begun.
I had to leave. But checking once wouldn't hurt me, I thought so and carefully tried to go near the stair case, but was pushed aside. I now began moving towards the exit. Just as I started a lady in Burkha called for me "that girl has come up to return your bag"..."How is that possible" was my question to her in a dried up voice, I didn't care to wait for an answer, I rushed towards her. I saw only a hand, holding my brown bag. She threw it from there before being swallowed by them, all I could do was to scream "Thankyou!" Not for my bag, but for the pains she took for me. She had restored a lot within me. Something extremely bad and something extremely good had happened with me in mere one hour. She saved herself, saved me and returned my bag before disappearing. I wanted to meet her, to see her. To thank her. She was better than me. She was the girl who saved my life.
