Diet is absolutely paramount when it comes to progress & if you know me, have trained with or under my instruction, you'll know how much emphasis I put on the importance of it. I don't do this because I like the sound of my own voice or enjoy lecturing every Tom, Dick about it. I do it simply because it's necessary & you will not succeed with out it. Granted, a good trainer will be resourceful, knowledgeable & enthusiastic about your progress but should never be more enthusiastic about it than you are & if you want it bad enough you'll do everything within your power to get it (Diet, diet, diet & train of course). No excuse is a valid one & I don't have ears for them. I will never accept merit for a clients progress, it is our job to provide you with the tools required, but ultimately it is down to you to want it enough in order to get the job done. - The ball is in your court.

Comparing your current physique in the mirror, where you can see all your faults and flaws, to a picture on Instagram that’s been edited isn’t fair to you. The added stress that comes with this comparison causes a loss of motivation and focus.

So my advice is to stop comparing yourself to IG celebs. Most of the photos are taken when they have the best pump on, with perfect lighting. The only thing that matters is the state of your current physique. Are you where you are supposed to be? Proper execution of an educated plan will lead to your desired end result. You must have faith that you are on track, and you must move forward and focus on your own short/long term goals and aspirations.

I'm not saying social media is bad because it has a lot of great benefits.
