nataliejillfit's Instagram Photo - YOUR FREE FRESH START IS READY!! Speaking from a place of 45 here :) YES our metabolisms DO slow down with age and we DO naturally lose muscle mass and accumulate more fat - ESPECIALLY as women. 
We actually lose 5 lbs of muscle every 10 years... HOWEVER this does not mean dooms day. We don't have to accept it and we don't have to give up on our goals. 
We can choose to let age be our excuse or we can DECIDE to take the challenge and defy the odds :) We can CHOOSE to focus on preserving the muscle we have, and even better, BUILDING more muscle as we age. 
We can CHOOSE to nourish our bodies with foods that help fuel us with energy and nutrients for muscle growth!

We can CHOOSE to be more active, sit less and to make stress reduction a priority!

We can CHOOSE to focus on better sleep (YES sleep is HUGELY important for keeping us healthy) 
And YES, we can avoid empty calories like foods loaded sugar, overly processed foods and junk. We CAN say no to them. 
We can't control aging but we CAN control the actions we choose and the solutions we work towards. I just want you to ask yourself HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?
