"I will start with my sestra Sarah, who stepped off a train & met herself."
.Orphan Black. To say I'll miss this show would be an understatement. The series finale of Orphan Black was everything I could have hoped for & more. I sobbed & laughed & more than anything just felt grateful that I got to be a part of the journey. Seeing Tatiana Maslany play about 13 different characters including but not limited to; a wine drinking soccer mom, a drug-selling high school drop-out, a brilliant scientist, a scary food-loving meathead, a lonely yet brave cop, & even a scorpion (Yeah, a SCORPION) was such a joy. She brought so much depth to every character that you could watch scenes with four versions of herself and forget that Tatiana played every single one of them. The whole show was about how, though they are "the same", they couldn't be more different. They are each their own individual people and no matter how hard people fought to bring them down, they grew stronger because they had each other & their own individuality. Orphan Black was about finding your people, knowing your team, and knowing that it's okay to not be just like everyone else. Your individuality is what makes you special, it's what makes you YOU. And yet that still doesn't scratch the surface of the beautiful messages of this show. I'm eternally grateful to everyone who was a part of Orphan Black; Tatiana, Kathryn, Jordan, Maria, Evelyne, Kevin, Kristian, etc etc. This series is brilliant and perfect and I'll love it forever. If you haven't yet let yourself become a member of the Clone Club, I think now is the perfect time. It's not over, Orphan Black only slipped into the next room. 😉
